Our Healing Justice collective is a grassroots project dedicated to remembering the importance of tending to our body, heart, mind, and spirit’s ecology by connecting with nature and its intelligence. We embrace rest, health, wellness, the arts, ancestral technologies/wisdom, land stewardship and relationship as a radical act. Our goal is to slow down and provide experiences where we all feel held, supported, healthy, rested, and inspired. Our offerings are mainly focused to be shared with black, indigenous, brown, immigrant,  LGBTQ communities, farmers, organizers, wellness practitioners, and leaders.

This work we believe can create a sense of connection, care and joy into the people that need support for all the service and beauty they bring into the outer ecosystems and collective consciousness.

Healthcare is a human right yet it is not equitably accessible, it has been commodified. We know first hand the needs of underserved communities because of our own identities and lived experience. Our collective believes in healing justice as the forefront of our movements and providing this model will allow us to shift into new forms of living.

REGENERATION LOOKS LIKE HEALING TOGETHER AND RELATING DEEPLY!

Our grassroots initiative brings healing, land connection, liberatory joy, care, wellness and art expressive experiences to Haudenosaunee, Mohican, Munsee Lenape, and Lekawe lands in the Hudson Valley, NYC, BK and Rockaway. We create and share retreats, workshops, movement offerings, Mutual Aid herbal medicine, land play and connection, organic foods, body work, dance, ritual, and music as a healing modality, reproductive care and medical knowledge dismantling the separation between social justice, environmental justice, and health/self care. We believe that the more we thrive in our bodies, minds, and spirits, and connect with the inner and outer ecologies of Mother Earth; the more we are able to thrive with our communities, heal generational trauma and create new pathways to an abundant reality. The more we make healing, land connection and arts accessible to all, the more we live in joy, our true paths and essential creativity.

OUR YEARLY OFFERINGS and Programs

WELLNESS AND ART FESTIVAL OF JOY

Once a year we create a day of arts, local music, movement, connection, and wellness for the community of Hudson, NY and surroundings. On this day, we take time to uplift the voices of BIPOC artists. We share natural medicine, workshops, healing modalities, story telling, joy, and food to create a place of celebration of our cultures and diaspora. We create a safe space to take care of our mental and physical health needs outside the current capitalistic wellness movement. This is an event open to the community for free or donation.

THE WELLNESS LOUNGE

In collaboration with various festivals in Mohican Land -HudsonNY, surroundings and NY Boroughs we bring the wellness lounge to communities that don't have access to affordable healthcare, showing alternative ways to support their bodies and minds. From our youth to our elders, this is an interactive way of creating trust with our neighbors supporting mental and bodily health. In these activations, we share herbal care packages and one on one herbalism consultations.  Food as medicine, herbalism, land connection workshops and healing for the people - acupuncture, massage, reiki, tarot, sound tuning, capoeira, African dance, drumming - and so much more....

Healing Justice for Healers and organizers RETREATS

Wellness clinics and healing retreats dedicated to leaders, organizers, and farmers, as a form of giving back to those always in selfless service. Our hopes is to keep the mind and body healthy, creativity flowing, and inspiration alive. We believe this is essential for the work to continue in a balanced manner and give care to the usually unseen workers of our community. It is a great opportunity to connect between organizations and support each other in leadership positions.

Our Healing Justice retreats are a platform to rest, receive and connect. Our programing is design to offer Elder knowledge, rituals, arts and music, healing modalities ( meditation acupuncture, yoga, somatic therapy, massage, herbal baths, sauna, healing foods, reiki and so much more) Free natural medicine, herbal bundles to take away home and ancestral ways of ceremony. We also have curated Elemental related retreats (surfing, rock climbing, hiking, ceremonies, dance, and  sound, rest, bathing, storytelling) as a way to connect with our bodies and the elements.

Wellness clinics for land and community stewards - Our wellness clinics for farmers and community stewards bring various healing modalities to our farmers and organizations throughout the year to make sure the body and nervous system stays healthy throughout seasons.

LAND JOY AND CONNECTION

In Collaboration with different farms, gardens and Nature in the Hudson Valley we gather to experiences land where people can touch, connect and learn from the soil, plants, trees, fungi, animals and all the beings of the earth, We hope that through this connection in a playful and curios way we can activate deep levels of intimacy with nature for people to take to their own spaces and feel uplifted and keep connecting to this way of being. We also believe this type of experiences can nourish the nervous system and bring us closer to relationship and healing.

Celebrating our harvest and the Land - Corn and Elements Celebration

Is our way of sharing farm to table culturally appropriate foods, celebrate our ancestral foods, and enjoy them as a way to connect. Highlighting our diversities, customs, music, plant knowledge, dance, storytelling and prayer. Cooking with the Elements, Exploring Migration through art and storytelling, focusing in the fall harvest and the history of Corn.
